It (2017)

Finally, I had the opportunity to watch IT movie after two attempts were spoilt. I enjoy watching the new version of IT. But I still love the older IT miniseries even though at that time the technology is not so advanced like nowadays.

For me the older IT much creepier when Georgie met the clown especially the facial expression and the dialogue. The new IT much bloodier compared to the older one.

Pennywise: Hi, Georgie! Aren’tcha gonna say… hello? [Georgie shakes his head] Awww, come on bucko! Don’t you want a… balloon?

Georgie: I’m not supposed to take stuff from strangers; My dad said so.

Pennywise: Very wise of ya dad, Georgie – very wise indeed. I, Georgie, am Pennywise the Dancin Clown – and you are Georgie! So now we know each other! Keeerect?

Georgie: I guess so… I gotta go.

Pennywise: Go? Without this? [shows Georgie his fallen paper boat]

Georgie: It’s my boat!

Pennywise: EEX-actly! Go on, kiddo… Take it. [Georgie stares, unsure about reaching into the stormdrain for his boat] Awww… You want it, don’t you, Georgie? Of course you do… and there’s cotton candy, rides, and all sorts of surprises down here… and balloons too! All colors.

Georgie: Do they float? [reaches in for his boat]

Pennywise[face begins changing from a smile to a frown] Ohh yes… they float Georgie… they float… and when you’re down here, with me… YOU’LL FLOAT TOO!

[Pennywise grabs Georgie’s arm and pulls him toward the stormdrain]

Thanks to IT miniseries until now I don’t really like clowns because they look so creepy with that thick and heavy makeup plus the red nose and big mouth. I guessed IT clown gives an impact on my dislike of clowns.

The Shining by Stephen King

First and foremost Happy New Year 2015. New resolutions already in my mind and hopefully I will achieve those dreams.

Back to my reading list.
About a week ago, I watched the movie and find it was totally different from the book (as I read in Doctor Sleep). Overall I like Jack Nicholson playing the Jack Torrance character and hated Wendy’s character in the film.
Currently I’m reading The Shining by Stephen King and struggling to finish the book. At first, I was looking forward to read the book because I love the sequal, Doctor Sleep. I think the book drags to many details and I’m getting bored reading it. I sure hope to finish it soon because I want to read the others book that I bought and get as a Christmas present.

Full Dark, No Stars by Stephen King

I just finished reading Full Dark, No Stars book. I would say that I totally agree with Stephen King’s regarding the stories being harsh and may have found them hard to read in places.

Personally I think some part of the stories a bit harsh and gruesome even though I always into genres such as horror, mystery and mystical.

The hardest part to read was “1922” because I think there were solutions in every problem occur especially for married couples. The second hardest was “Big Driver” because of the rape part. I can’t stand to read a woman suffering especially being a rape victim.

Overall I enjoyed reading the book but I do not think I will read it again. ;p

Ready for New Year 2015

I just came back from Tesco and as usual I always go to Popular Bookstore. Guess what I already bought a planner for 2015 and grab one novel called Dance with Death by Barbara Nadel. I hope the book is good like the art cover. Currently I’m reading Full Dark, No Stars by Stephen King.

This coming December is The Big Bad Wolf 2014 Book Sale. Oh God, I sure wish I can go and buy lots of discount books. But I’m living far away from the big city of Kuala Lumpur and sometimes I even work on Saturday (like today).

P/S: I sure hope that The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale can come to the northern part of Malaysia. I’m sure people from the northern part would appreciate you coming to our home town.

Favourite Authors

Since my new passion started in Sydney, I kinda found my favourite Australian authors such as Kim Wilkins and M.J Hearle. My favourite genre would be mystery, fantasy and science fiction. That is the reason why I like authors like Stephen King, Kim Wilkins, Helen Dunmore, M.J Hearle, Kim Harrison, Mary Higgins Clark and others. I began to like Kim Wilkins works after reading The Autumn Castle. I like the way she writes and describe her characters. Currently I’m waiting for my Giants of the Frost to arrive which was ordered from Amazon. Also waiting another six books from Book Depository.

Doctor Sleep by Stephen King

It has been awhile since I buy a new book because I brought back quite a lot of novels from the Basement Books in Sydney.

I bought Doctor Sleep book about a month ago. I was hooked reading this book and determine to finish it asap because I wanted to know what happened to Rose the Hat character. I just finished reading this book like 3 days ago. I’m quite sad to learn that Rose the Hat character died.

Thanks to Doctor Sleep, now I’m officially a fan of Stephen King. Actually this book is my second purchased of Stephen King works after Carrie. I’m familiar with Stephen King’s movie adaptation such as IT, Carrie and many more.

Now I wondering if Hollywood going to make a movie of Doctor Sleep, who is going to be Rose the Hat. The beautiful and tall Irish Lady.
