Atomic Blonde on UK double-decker bus
It’s been awhile since I wrote anything. I took a break for ten days from 22 until 31 August to travel to Europe before starting my PhD journey. While in Europe my Atomic Blonde CD arrived and luckily my brother was there to pick it up for me. I was happy to get the CD, but I wished it’s included all the songs that were in the film.
Back to my Europe trip, I went to six countries, and the countries are UK, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Switzerland and France. I always wanted to visit London and Paris ever since my late mother visited both countries when I was a kid; unfortunately, I don’t have enough time to explore my favourite cities because I went with a travel agency. The time is insufficient to explore, and I don’t get to climb the Eiffel Tower because Paris was our last destination before flying back to Malaysia.
According to the itinerary, the time to visit Eiffel is the next morning after check-in to the hotel. Luckily, the tours guide willingly to bring some of the energetic group to visit Eiffel Tower at night after we check-in. I was freaking tired, but love conquers all, I force myself to go and see Eiffel Tower. Finally, I managed to visit the most famous Eiffel Tower and the moment I was standing in front of the Eiffel Tower and enjoying the light show for about 5 to 10 minutes. Out of the blue in the background, my favourite song Careless Whisper instrumental accompanied the scenes. I think played by the street artist; I was so busy admiring the most iconic monument. It was perfect, and I wish to revisit France and also London.
I was back in Malaysia on 31 August and the next day was the Eid al-Adha celebration. I have a cold again. Unfortunately, I already saw a panel Doctor and told him that I need to be well before flying to Europe. Guess what the whole trip I was coughing, and my voice sounds quite bad. Currently, I’m in the process of recovering from the cold, and I learned from my mistake that it is better to see a private Doctor for fast and good medicines instead of seeing the panel physicians.
Last night I watched Atomic Blonde. Sofia Boutella is the reason I watch the film in the cinema.
I was disappointed because most of her scenes were cut out in Malaysia cinemas because of the lesbian elements. The film looks awkward because Lorraine and Delphine’s relationship is one of the essential element in that movie.
The film is good, but I was distracted by the cut out scenes. I need to watch that movie again without any censorship. I wish I can enjoy watching any movies in cinema without any censorship.
I was so happy finally to get my Funko Pop Ahmanet and the Mummy. Those boxes damaged a bit after a long journey from the United States of America. But, I don’t mind as long as the content is good. I’m still grateful because those cute figures still manage to safe and sound arrive.
I’m living in Malaysia, and quite far from the big city so most of the time I will just order things through online. The excellent of the internet. But ordering from the web also has cons, I have bad experiences with missing or damaged goods. At one time, I did order laser pointer for my class, and the so call irresponsible postman did not put the parcel inside the postbox, and unfortunately, it was raining that day, and my parents did not realise the package arrives for how many days. So you can guess the rest of the story.
No used to complain because they just take the case without any compensation. Oh… I wish I can share my bad experience regarding my academic books. It is a waste of time trying to explain the meaning of art to that person who does not understand or even bother to read the contents. I’m so pissed off with that person claiming the content too obscene for education purposes!
In Malaysia; I cannot directly write or say bad things freely without any consequences. So that is why I’m grateful whenever I do get my stuff safe, and sound arrives without any fuss.
I’m officially one of Sofia Boutella fans after watching her in the Mummy. But lately, I have been binge watching Sofia Boutella movies. The latest movie I get to watch is the Street Dance 2.
I was so impressed by her dancing skills in that film. I never noticed her when she was Madonna’s backup dancers. I love the OST, always enjoy Latin music, and her dance makes me like her so much more. Haha… I already order the OST to add to my OST collection.
I cannot wait to see her latest movie called Atomic Blonde with Charlize Theron.
At first, when I read about the Mummy reboot starring Tom Cruise, I am not too excited to watch the movie because I think the original the Mummy in 1999 is good enough, no need to reboot the film.
I love The Mummy (1999) and The Mummy Returns (2001) because of Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz characters. Their chemistry is good, and humour element is flawless. But in this new movie, I think the Director and Tom Cruise trying to include the fun elements that look weird at some points.
The only reason I watch the movie is that I like the character of Princess Ahmanet played by Sofia Boutella. Initially, I thought she would be the new Anck Su Namun replacing Patricia Valesquez. I love Patricia Valesquez as Anck Su Namun. Both of them have the beauty and grace to be the Egyptian princess.
Overall I enjoy watching the movie, and it packs with actions, but I would love to see Ahmanet (Sofia Boutella) more compared to Tom Cruise character.
