The Mummy (2017)

At first, when I read about the Mummy reboot starring Tom Cruise, I am not too excited to watch the movie because I think the original the Mummy in 1999 is good enough, no need to reboot the film.

I love The Mummy (1999) and The Mummy Returns (2001) because of Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz characters. Their chemistry is good, and humour element is flawless. But in this new movie, I think the Director and Tom Cruise trying to include the fun elements that look weird at some points.

The only reason I watch the movie is that I like the character of Princess Ahmanet played by Sofia Boutella. Initially, I thought she would be the new Anck Su Namun replacing Patricia Valesquez. I love Patricia Valesquez as Anck Su Namun. Both of them have the beauty and grace to be the Egyptian princess.

Overall I enjoy watching the movie, and it packs with actions, but I would love to see Ahmanet (Sofia Boutella) more compared to Tom Cruise character.

  1. This is actually the first positive review I have read for this movie. Most of the reviews have been pretty negative for the film. Nice to see that you enjoyed the movie, and Sofia Boutella is great. If you want to see more of her, you might want to check out the last Star Trek film : Star Trek Beyond. She plays a very big role in that one 😊 Great post!

    1. Luckily the movie got Sofia Boutella charmed. I think people wanted to see the movie just because of her. Oh, thank you for the recommendation. I will watch the movie. Now she’s becoming one of my favourite actress ;p
